The Cottingham School
PTFA Summer Fayre held on 14 July raised a phenomenal
£3,400!
Villagers flocked to
the recreation field to join in the fun and games, with the BBQ and
the Beer Tent also doing a roaring trade. Arena displays included
highland dancing, a dog display and a closely fought football match.
The school choir also gave a rousing
a cappella
performance and the music continued into the evening with performances from
local bands The Examples and Purple Haze.
The event was compered
by Chris Owen in full town crier get up, and earlier on in the
proceedings the new play area was officially opened in a special
ceremony by Corby Borough Council Deputy Mayor Cllr Peter McEwan.
