Event
and Parish Plan
-
Thank you for the
opportunity to find out more about our village and local community
-
Very informative.
Should have more days like this
-
Very good to have
the police here. Did Corby planners come? And Bob Rutt?
Response from Parish Plan Steering Group:
Cllr Rutt was unable to attend. However, Corby Borough Council
Chief Executive Chris Mallender attended the event on the Borough
Council’s behalf

Surprised the
Church (St Mary Magdalene) wasn’t given a chance to participate in
this event. Could have provided displays, detailed information etc.
Response
from Parish Plan Steering Group:
We are sorry that you feel the Church was not
given a chance to participate in the event. Whilst we perhaps missed
a trick in not making proactive contact with the Church on this
occasion, we would point out that everyone in the village was given
the opportunity to get involved with the Parish Plan process right
from the time that the open meeting was held in July last year. All
subsequent village newsletters have invited people to get involved
including, in the October issue, a specific request for people to
get in touch if they had a local club or group that they wished to
promote at the event. Several groups did get in touch, hence their presence at the event.
However, we will ensure that the Church is proactively consulted as
part of the Parish Plan process going forward.
